ETB: Athletic Club make contact with Berizzo
The Basque club have lined up the Argentine coach for next season
Eduardo Berizzo is one of the coaches Athletic Clib are targetting to take over in Bilbao next weekend, ETB have revealed.
Reports claim the club's sporting director José María Amorrortu has looked into Berizzo's availability after his health problems earlier this season.
Remember that the Argentine coach had just recovered from prostate cancer when he was dismissed as Sevilla boss earlier this season.
ETB add that Berizzo is not the only option the club are working on and that the Rojiblanco have let the former Sevilla and Celta Vigo coach know they've been in touch with other coaches.
Even though it's not official, José Ángel Ziganda, who replaced Erensto Valverde, will not continue on the San Mames bench after the summer.
Leganés coach Asier Garitano and Alaves boss Abelardo have also been touted as possible replacements.
