Chelsea are negotiating his transfer with Atlético following the arrival of Morata
Diego Costa will leave Chelsea in the next few weeks, once the Stamford Bridge club have sealed the signing of Álvaro Morata. It is understood his transfer is just a matter of time.
An agreement between Chelsea and Atlético Madrid could be reached soon after it became clear that the English club are ready to sell Costa for €45 million.
Initially it was speculated that the player could join Atlético, although he wouldn’t be able to play until January 2018, due to the Madrid club’s transfer ban. However, in the last few hours the possibility that the player may be loaned to AC Milan instead.
Milan are not in the Champions League, which would be an advantage for Atlético as he would be able to play after the group stages.
