Cristiano Ronaldo, Modric and Benzema sit out Madrid's Deportivo clash

Real Madrid are bidding to break the club's all-time unbeaten record on Saturday night when they take on Deportivo de la Coruna at home, but will do so without some key players.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have been left out of the squad for a rest, while Gareth Bale is injured, so none of the BBC forward line is available.

Meanwhile Luka Modric, the team's key player in midfield, has also been left out, with Coentrao.

Zidane is conscious the upcoming Club World Cup will take a toll on the players so is getting some early rest in.

The squad is:

Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla, Yanez.

Defenders: Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Danilo.

Midfielders: Kroos, James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Asensio, Isco.

Forwards: Morata, Lucas Vázquez, Mariano.
