Rodrigo Moreno, Miku and Gustavo Cabral all got two games for similar offence

La Liga laws say abusing referee leads to a two or three match suspension

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann is likely to miss at least two games after being sent off for insulting the referee in his side's draw with Girona on Saturday.

The French international called Juan Martinez Munuera a 'cagon' (a f***ing bottejob) in the 66th minute  after being booked for diving inside the area and was subsequently shown a straight red card.

Two seasons ago, in a similar case, Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno was sent off for saying the same thing David Fernandez Borbalan in an encounter with Real Madrid and was subsequently banned for two games.

Miku, then of Getafe, and Celta Vigo' Gustavo Cabral have also been banned in recent seasons for using the same insult.

Griezmann will miss one game for the red card but is likely to miss a second, too, so will be unavailable for Diego Simeone's side against Las Palmas and Valencia.
