Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has rallied against any potential criticism for at Diego Simeone following the club's slow start to the season in an interview with Marca.
Despite not losing any games in La Liga, Atletico have drawn too many and struggled for goals, leaving them eight points behind early leaders Barcelona.
Meanwhile, they look set to be knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages unless Qarabag can do them a favour against Roma and/or Chelsea.
Asked if he could imagine Simeone coming under fire, Cerezo said: "I want to say this in a loud voice. Simeone is untouchable at Atletico Madrid, for the players, for the directors and for the supporters. Having doubts about Cholo Simeone is not allowed here."
