Granero scores on his debut for Espanyol
The midfielder scored two of his side's seven goals in their first friendly

A promising first game for Quique Sánchez Flores’ Espanyol (7-0) against a modest opponent, Persija Yakarta (6th in the Indonesian league). The midfielder Esteban Granero and the youngster Mario Hermoso made their debuts and Sergio García played the second half.
Although the nature of the opposition mean not too many conclusions can be draw, the result showed that Quique Sánchez Flores’ team are preparing well for the new season. They were 5-0 up by half time and although they slowed down in the second half, still added two more goals to win 7-0.
The match marked the end of Espanyol’s tour of Indonesia, which worked well on a commercial and image basis for the club.
