There WILL be a fixture draw for La Liga this week
The CSD said that the draw will take place despite the RFEF developments
José Ramón Lete, president of the CSD, says the arrest can't stop the season
There will be a La Liga draw for the 2017-18 season. The government's department for Sport have announced, along with La Liga, that even though RFEF chief Angel Maria Villar has been arrested, the draw will take place.
The RFEF cancelled their meetings this week, one of which during the draw was supposed to take place. However secretary of state for Sport, Jose Ramon Lete, told Onda Cero that "everything points to there being a La Liga draw on Thursday or Friday, something that should happen as swiftly as possible."
The LFP have also insisted they will do a draw this week despite the turn of events at the Spanish FA.
It has subsequently been announced that the draw will take place on Friday at 12.30pm.
