The Spanish-Moroccan player wants FIFA to allow him to play for the African country

He wants to play for them at the World Cup after featuring briefly for Spain in a Euros qualifier

Munir El Haddadi has asked Morocco to support him in playing for them instead of Spain, according to the newspaper Assabah.

The newspaper says the striker, at Alaves on loan from Barcelona, wants to play for the African country.

Born in Madrid to Moroccan parents, Munir debuted for the Spanish national team on September 8, 2014 under Vicente del Bosque, in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia (5-1).

The forward played for 13 minutes and has not featured for Spain since, but according to FIFA rules, cannot now feature for another side.
