Spain open the doors to their team hotel ahead of Italy clash

The media were given an exclusive look into the team hotel on the Ile de Re that Spain currently occupy for the duration of their Euro 2016 campaign.

The Roja have been relaxing in the Atalante Relais Thalasso ahead of their game against Italy before heading to Saint-Denis on Monday.

With fares ranging from 265 euros a night for a 'classic' room to 646 for the 'prestige suite', the four star hotel offers more luxurious surroundings than in recent tournaments for Spain and has all the necessary amenities for the players.

The coaching staff wanted a haven of peace and the Atalante has served that purpose. Outside the main building - where the rooms are located with their own gardens - are several dining rooms, a cinema room and even a small outer building a few meters away that contains numerous swimming pools that are both indoor and outdoor.

It's a modest but cozy 'home' for Spain as they continue their quest for back-to-back European Championship titles.
