Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang denies Real Madrid speculation

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has denied that he has entered negotiations with Real Madrid or has been offered to leave Borussia Dortmund to join the European champions.

The striker was quoted in Le Figaro where he allegedly revealed that Real would be the only club he would join after Dortmund, but Aubameyang has since taken to his Twitter account to refute these statements.

"Hello journalists, I want to be clear," he began, "I've read everywhere something I never said, which is 'only Real Madrid can make me leave Dortmund'.

"I don't know who has changed my words but I'm sad for the people who do what they want."

Aubameyang joined Dortmund in 2013 from Saint-Etienne and has gone on to become one of Europe's top strikers. Last season alone, he scored 39 goals in all competitions and was the Bunesliga's second highest goalscorer on 25 goals behind Robert Lewandowski, with the Bayern Munich man finding the net 30 times.

"I'm a Dortmund player and have been honest in every interview where I've spoken about my dreams since childhood, but there is nothing more [to say]," the 27-year-old concluded.
