The Italian forward scored the only goals of the game with two headers

The ex-Madridista James had little influence on the 45 minutes he played

Bayern Munich were beaten by Inter Milan (2-0) today in Singapore. The Colombian James Rodríguez played 45 minutes but was unable to make his mark on the game.

Inter’s goals were scored by Martins Eder in the first half – two headers, one in the 9th and 30th minutes. The best James could manage was a free-kick from 35 yards out that the Inter goalkeeper had to beat out for the cameras.

James was playing in his ideal position, just behind the forward line, but he could not influence the game enough to give Bayern any fluidity.

Franck Ribéry had to go off with an ankle injury, but James was unable to dictate Bayern’s play and was replaced by Thomas Müller at half time. Although Bayern were more dynamic after the break, they did not have any clear chances and Inter closed the game out comfortably.
