Borussia Dortmund utilise Marc Bartra in two defensive positions

Marc Bartra has gained more minutes with Borussia Dortmund and coach Thomas Tuchel has tested the defender in positions across his back four.

The former Barcelona man played a total of 65 minutes against Manchester City on Thursday and slotted in next to Sokratis at cente-back before moving to right-back as Tuchel scrutinised his versatility.

It was the one of the few occasions that Bartra has featured in the unorthodox position but he struggled to make an impact in the second half and was soon withdrawn from proceedings.

Bartra continues to make his way up the pecking order with his new club after appearing in Dortmund's 4-1 friendly win against Manchester United on July 22 and will be hoping to gain more game time against Sunderland on August 5.
