Barça want to unite the Brazil duo the whole world is talking about

Neymar and Coutinho speak the same football language and Barcelona want them both

They’re the in-fashion partnership in Brazil. They’ve known each other since 2008, when they were in their country’s U15 team. And they could join up at Barcelona in the future.

Barça are following Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho very closely, he’s liked by many at the club and has a special chemistry with Neymar. The current Blaugrana forward said a few years ago that Coutinho was one of the most talented players he’d played with.

Dubbed a ‘menino prodigio’ (child prodigy) in his homeland, against Argentina he had a spectacular impact. His golazo opened the scoring and he exhibited pace, technique and pressing.

Neymar assisted and Coutinho scored. Javier Mascherano was a spectator, he couldn’t cut out the pass, nor could he stop Coutinho, despite lunging in.

Brazil enjoyed a forward line formed by Neymar (24), Coutinho (24) and Gabriel Jesus (19), three players who have been linked on more than one occasion with Barcelona. The first is in his fourth season with the club, the second is wanted by the Blaugrana and the latter was chased in the summer before signing for Manchester City, who he will join in January.

The three have a football understanding. But what happens on the pitch between Ney and Coutinho is special. They understand each other and they look for each other. They speak the same football language.

In the duo Brazil have found a glimpse of their great past after some disappointing years under Dunga. Brazil now look like team again, with structure in defence and magic up front.

Barça dream of uniting two of that frontline at Camp Nou. But Liverpool have no intention of selling Coutinho and are not ready to negotiate for anything less than 75 million euros.
