The Portuguese was furious that Sergi Roberto had not been fouled

Ronaldo quickly made his way down the tunnel after the last gasp loss

"I want to catch Lional Messi," Cristiano Ronaldo said a couple of years ago in relation to number of Ballon d'Or wins.

Maybe that's why the Argentine's goal in the last minute of Sunday's Clasico, which was the cherry on the cake of a brilliant move, hurt the Portuguese forward so much.

Not just because the goal moved Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table, but also because of the message Messi sent to the world: I am in charge here.

Ronaldo pressed Sergio Busquets at the start of the move, but the quick passing between the Barça midfielder and Sergi Roberto took him out of the game.

From there, wide on the Madrid left, close to Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo watched the rest of the move unfold.

After the goal, his expression said it all and he shouted at Marceloa "Make a foul" in reference to the Brazilian not halting Sergi Roberto's run from the right-back position to the final third.

He then turned to share his frustration with Zidane. Hernandez Hernandez then blew for full time and it didn't take long for Ronaldo to disappear down the tunnel.

And he did so with a very negative vibe. La Liga is still in Madrid's hands but it's become more difficult -- as has catching up Messi in Ballon d'Ors.
