Gerard Pique: I feel fit, I hope to make it to the Clasico

The defender spoke in a Facebook Live Question and Answer session on Thursday night on various subjects, including his best goal

FC Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique spoke in a Facebook Live Question and Answer session on Thursday night, speaking on a variety of topics.

The defender says he feels good physically after having ankle problems. "I would like to be fitter, but I am fit, I hope to be there on Saturday against Madrid," he said. "We will try to win, it's a very important game. To play at home and with our fans will help us to try and get the three points. The Clasico is a game that is always very important but when you have so many games to go until the end you know they are 90 minutes more and what you have to do is win."

Best moments

"My best moment as a footballer was in 2009 when we won the Champions League in Rome. It was against my old team, Manchester United and it was special because it was my first with FC Barcelona," he said. He also surprisingly selected his Champions League strike against Inter Milan in the 2009-10 season as his best goal. "My best goal was against Inter at home although it did not help us reach the final of the 2010 Champions League," he said.

Pique's best memory was the 5-0 win over Mourinho's Madrid at Camp Nou, but as a fan it was the 5-0 win over the same opponents in 1993-94. "To relive being able to win 5-0 over Real Madrid as a professional was incredible. I have very good memories of this game," he said.
