The Torino coach has added fuel to the fire over the Anne Frank scandal in Italian football

Mihajlovic dodged questions about the scandalous behaviour of the ultras

Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has added fuel to the fire on the Anne Frank scandal at Rome's Olympic stadium, where Lazio ultras left stickers with Anne Frank in Roma shirts in the stadium intending to insult their rivals.

However the coach tried to ignore the scandal in his press conference for the game against Fiorentina. A known ultra and friend of Serbian paramilitary leader Zeljko Raznatovic Arkan, accused of war crimes in the Balcan conflict, Mihajlovic said: "Lazio fans attacked Anne Frank with the Roma shirt? I don't know what happened. Who is Anne Frank?"

The journalist explained that Anne Frank was a jewish girl who was hiding in Amsterdam and wrote a famous diary before dying in a concentration camp after being deported. Mihajlovic said: "I don't know, excuse me because I'm a bit ignorant from that point of view."
