Silvio Berlusconi: "I hope Galliani convinces Ancelotti to come to AC Milan"

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is still hopeful of the possibility of bringing Carlo Ancelotti back to the San Siro.

Ancelotti was fired by Real Madrid on Monday evening, with Berlusconi aiming to bring him back to Milan to take over from Filippo Inzaghi.

"I hope that Adriano Galliani can convince Carlo Ancelotto to come to Milan," he told 'Radio Capital'.

"I am optimistic; Galliani is optimistic."

However, Ancelotti has already said that if he was let go by Madrid, which has now happened, he would take a year away from the game.

As well as Ancelotti, Sevilla coach Unai Emery has also been linked with the job at Milan

Berlusconi also took the chance to rule out that he wants to sell the club, something which has been reported in Italy recently.

"The opposite," he replied when asked if he intended to put the club on the market.

"I've always been looking for a minority partner, someone who can help me with investement and the effort that Milan require.

"I'm looking for someone to help me, but I haven't found anyone."
