Arsenal do not want to pay the 50 million Leicester are asking for

Roma could be Riyad Mahrez's destination after he asked Leicester to let him leave. He was contacted by representatives of the Italian club to find out his disposition regarding a move to the country's capital.

According to Premium Sport, Roma have agreed a deal with Leicester for the winger. He travelled to Austria for the club's pre-season tour under Craig Shakespeare, who said that Mahrez "has a contract and should behave like a professional".

In Italy they say Monchi believes he is the ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah, who left for Liverpool for 42 million euros. Leicester want 50 million pounds for Mahrez, a number that for now has stopped Arsenal's interest in him.

Roma will pay 50 million, but in Euros, leaving the number 7 million euros short of what Leicester want for him. The Foxes have signed Vicente Iborra from Sevilla and Maguire from Hull City.
