Paul Pogba will miss Juventus v Real Madrid first leg through injury

Juventus star Paul Pogba will miss the first leg of his side's Champions League clash against Real Madrid in Turin, on Tuesday May 5.

The midfielder has been out of action with a torn thigh muscle since mid-March, but was hoping to play against Los Blancos.

A statement released by Juventus read: "The MRI scan taken by Paul Pogba this afternoon revealed that the player has made further progress in his recovery from a torn thigh muscle.

"The player will undergo a personalised recovery regime before potentially returning to full training with the group on Wednesday."

Barcelona want to sign Pogba but the fee, which could cost more than €80m may be prohibative, as well as the fact the earliest he can join is January, due to the FIFA transfer ban.
