AC Milan close in on the signing of Barça target Geoffrey Kondogbia

AC Milan have taken a step ahead of the other clubs interested in Monaco star Geoffrey Kondogbia, including FC Barcelona. Adriano Galliani has travelled to Montecarlo to close the opetation to sign the midfielder, offering a contract until until June 2019.

Galliani spoke with the player until 03.00h in a meeting which was also attended by Kondogbia's lawyer and his agent Neilo Lucas.

Kondogbia would arrive in Milan in exchange for 30 million euros. All that is left now is for details to be signed, with everything else on the table. It could be tied up soon, with the Frenchman receiving 3.5 million euros a season for the next four seasons.

With this operation, Milan not only steal a march on their eternal rival, Juventus, who also wanted Kondogbia, but also complicate Barcelona's Plan B, which was to move for Kondogbia if they can't agree a deal for Pogba.
