Luis Enrique rejected chance to sign Marco Verratti when he was Roma boss

Bojan Krkic's father has revealed that Luis Enrique rejected the chance to sign Marco Verratti when he was in charge of Italian side Roma. 

"He didn't want to sign Verratti when he was at Roma because he didn't think he was good enough," he told ‘Què t’hi jugues’ on Cadena Ser.

"The decision was practically taken [to sign Verratti], but at the last moment Luis Enrique opposed the move." 

Verratti has recently been linked with Barcelona.

He has developed into an Italian international and is rated as one of the best young midfielders in Europe. 

It's not just Barça who would be interested in him if he became avaialable now, but many of Europe's top clubs.
