Juventus reject Barcelona's €80million offer for French midfielder Paul Pogba

Juventus have rejected Barcelona's first offer for their midfielder Paul Pogba. According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the offer was close to €80m.

While it is Barça's first move, it is not the first bid the Turin-based side have received for the French international, who is wanted by Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG as well, all of whom have been in touch with Juve to ask about the situation.

Barcelona have now joined that list, confirming the information published in SPORT that there has been contact between the two clubs.

Juve, however, are resisting the tempation to sell and insist, for the moment, that Pogba will not be on the market this summer. That's the opposite to what Mino Raiola, the player's agent has suggested. Although any potential Barça move would not be completed until either January or next summer.

At the moment, Pogba is focused on recovering from a recent injury to be fit for the Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid next week. The Serie A side take a 2-1 lead to the Santiago Bernabeu.
