Juventus president Andrea Agnelli says Paul Pogba is "not un-transferable"

Andrea Agnelli, the president of Juventus, has denied that there is a clause to block Paul Pogba's departure from the Italian club during the summer transfer window. "Pogba is not for sale? In football, nothing is absolute. Remember the case of Vieri... in football players are not un-transferable until September 1."

Agnelli was speaking at the announcement of Claudio Marchisio's new contract with Juve. The player, one of the side's most important midfielders, has signed a deal to keep him at the club until 2020, making him one of the pillars of Allegri's side.

Meanwhile, Allegri, it was announced by Agnelli at the same press conference, has added another year to his deal, tying him to the Serie A champions until 2017. There was also official confirmation of Andrea Pirlo's move to the USA, where he will join up with Frank Lampard and David Villa at New York City.

Pirlo joined Juve in the summer of 2011 after AC Milan decided not to renew his contract following 401 games and 10 seasons at the club. He had just turned 32 and was handed a two-year deal by Giuseppe Marotta, with his stay in Turin eventually stretching to four years. He has four Serie A titles in that time.
