Fiorentina's new strategy to keep hold of Barça winger Tello

Cristian Tello's future is still uncertain. For several months, Fiorentina have been trying to reduce the eight million euro option to buy they have on the player.

However, until now, all contact with Barcelona has been unsuccessful. Manager Paulo Sousa wants Tello in his team, although the club aren't ready to spend so much money. 

Fiorentina, therefore, have opted for a change of strategy. Aware that Barça aren't keen on offering a reduction, the Italian club have presented a new proposal: to extend the loan and to make the option to buy effective in July 2018. 

In Italy they are now waiting for Raul Sanllehi to return from Brazil to work on a new deal. Fiore understand their new tactic could work as they count on the support of the player himself. Tello has adapated to Italian football and has shown his willingness to continue working under Sousa.
