Dani Alves trains for first time with new club Juventus

Dani Alves is now in training with his new club Juventus.

The Brazilian full-back, having spent eight years at Barcelona, began a new chapter in his career, and did so with a different type of session, based on physique, alongside teammates Mario Mandzukic and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The three players were allowed extra holiday time due to their participation at the Copa America, in Alves' case, and at Euro 2016, in the cases of Croatian Mandzukic and Swiss defender Lichtsteiner.

Juventus' installations in Vinovo were the setting for the former Barça defender's first day of training.

The Italian champions posted an affectionate welcome message to Alves on social media.

Gonzalo Higuain will be joining the Brazilian in Turin after the Argentine's huge transfer from Napoli was confirmed on Tuesday.

Following the training session, Alves posted an Instagram message stating:

"First day of hard training with my new teammates, a great pleasure to work with great professionals... Tomorrow more."

The bulk of the Juventus team is in Australia, where they beat Tottenham 2-1 on Tuesday morning in the friendly fixture, which is part of the International Champions Cup.
