The Italian side announced that his contract has been rescinded

The former Barcelona player will link up with Pep Guardiola again in the north of England

Dani Alves has left Juventus. The Brazilian departed after his contract was rescinded as the Italian side announced on Thursday. Alves will sign for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. He had a year on his contract with The Old Lady left.

The 34 year old signed from Barcelona on a free and came close to winning the treble, but Real Madrid beat Juve in the Champions League final.

Alves insisted his departure was nothing to do with money. "I don't play the game for money, I do it because I love this job. I love football and money never will keep me in any place." He is likely to pen a 5m euros a season deal with City for two years.
