Dani Alves lands in Turin to sign for Juventus

Dani Alves is in Turin to pass his medical tests and sign for Juventus. The player, who represented FC Barcelona between seasons 2008/09 and 2015/16, decided to end his Camp Nou spell at the start of June to start a new adventure in Italian football.

The Brazilian defender, who leaves on a free transfer, arrived at the Caselle airport and is planned to go through his medical and the official signature of his contract this Monday. Alves will commit to a two-year deal with his new club and will be presented on Tuesday.

The player started to win over his new fanbase soon after touching down as he shouted "Forza Juve, come on!" The former Barça man hopes to add experience and a greater offensive edge to the defence of the Serie A champions.

Alves is the second signing of 'The Old Lady' of Italian football ahead of the new season, after the confirmation of the deal to bring Miralem Pjanic from Roma. Max Allegri's team has the aim of lifting the Champions League next season.
