If Juve win the Champions League then he will carry on for one more year

Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has said that it's "99.9 percent" certain he will reitre after next summer's World Cup in Russia.

“Yes, that will happen 99.9 percent,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia when asked if next season would be his last in the game which has served him for more than two decades.

“I’ll have one more intense and busy season with important appointments. After that, it’ll be time to say enough is enough.

“Together with ‘Pres’ [Andrea Agnelli], we’ve left one possibility open: if we were to win the Champions League, I’d play for another season and try to win the Club World Club and other trophies.”

Buffon, 39, came close to winning the Champions League for the first time in his career this season, but Juve were beaten in the final by Real Madrid.

However, he did win a league and cup double, the third in a row under Massimiliano Allegri.
