Berlusconi puts heavy pressure on new Milan coach Mihajlovic

Silvio Berlusconi made the most of the first press conference of Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, in order to show his ambition and the pressure that is on his new coach to succeed: "to play in the Champions League is imperative."

Perhaps as advice to Mihajlovic not to repeat the errors of the previous season, Berlusconi explained that "during the past year, Milan lacked the awareness to recognise their potential, we were not able to move forward in an agreeable way." The president, however, is convinced that he has made a good new appointment: "Mihajlovic has all of the characteristics required to return Milan to their previous level."

Berlusconi also spoke on the important topic of transfers. He shared that their failed pursuit of Jackson Martinez was "due to his economic demands," but another Colombian, Carlos Bacca, has arrived.
