Xabi Alonso criticised in Germany as Bayern winless run stretches to three games

Bild say the former Real Madrid midfielder is one of the reasons for Bayern's poor run of form

Xabi Alonso has been one of the men singled out by the German press for Bayern Munich's 'mini-crisis'.

Without going any further, the newspaper Bild said the midfielder should take "early retirement", arguing that "the world and European champion was Bayern's slowest player" in the 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bayern have gone three games without winning. They lost at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and have drawn two games running in the league (with Koln and now Frankfurt).

And the German press have been quick to criticise Carlo Ancelotti's side. Not long ago, they were praising the Italian for the best start in Bayern's history. And some were even questioning Guardiola, asking if the Catalan's hyperactivity in the technical area had been beneficial to the team.

Now, Ancelotti's in the eye of the storm, although Arjen Robben made a good point: "There's no need for drama or talk of a mini-crisis, but the numbers don't lie. We've gone three games without winning."
