The player spoke to Sport Bild and doesn't think they should splash out big cash

He says there are various talented players available for much less

Spanish central midfielder Thiago Alcantara has told his team, Bayern Munich, that they don't need to spend 100 million euros on signing a player like Marco Verratti.

"I think that Bayern have always stood out for not having a player who is a long way above the rest," Thiago told Sport Bild. "It's clear that everyone wants to play as well as possible, but what characterises the team is character and cohesion.

"Everyone here and those that will arrive have to do what they can to make the team better. It's not necessary to spend so much money (asked about a 100m euro signing), there are a lot of players with talent that have to be discovered and they cost less. That's the way for Bayern, sign players and help form them."
