Doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt is set to return to Bayern Munich, according to Bild.
According to the German newspaper, he has reached an agreement with Bayern president Uli Hoeness and the president of the board, Karl Heinz Rumennigge, to agree his return to the club, although it is not yet official.
Last week Bayern announced they were no longer working with medic Volker Braun, who in 2015 replaced Muller-Wohlfahrt.
On April 16, 2015, the veteran doctor who ahd been at the club nearly four decades, had to leave after Guardiola lost faith in him following a 3-1 defeat by Porto in the Champions League - though the true motive was when Mehdi Benatia got injured during a German Cup game against Bayer Leverkusen.
Pep greeted the injury with ironic applause, with Benatia joining Ribery, Robben, Javi Martinez and Schweinsteiger on the sick bed at the time.
