REPORTS: Jürgen Klopp turns down offer to take over at West Ham

Jürgen Klopp has rejected an offer to take over from Sam Allardyce as manager of English side West Ham next season.

The German coach was contacted by David Sullivan, the club's largest single shareholder, who explained the London-based club's ambitious project.

West Ham are due to leave Upton Park for the remodelled Olympic Stadium in 2016 and they want to push the team up the Premier League table, which requires a suitable manager capable of leading the side.

According to The Mirror, the offer included Klopp having complete control of the first team and money to spend.

However, Klopp, who announced last week he will leave his role as Borussia Dortmund boss at the end of the season, rejected the proposal.

The Hammers' vice-chairman, Karren Brady, has since describe the reports as "nonsense"

"It is just nonsense," she told Sky Sports. "Sam is the manager, we have talked to him about sitting down at the end of the season, which we will do.

"We have to see what he wants to do going forwards. That's how these things work."

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all also been linked with an interest in Klopp.
