Philipp Lahm: Atletico vs Bayern is 50-50, there are no favourites

Philipp Lahm says Bayern Munich will be going all out to score an away goal against Atletico Madrid, having failed to do so in their previous two semi-finals and been eliminated.

"Naturally we know what happened in the last semis," said the Bayern defender-cum-midfielder.

"We haven’t forgot the fact that we didn’t score any away goals and we’re conscious that we need to score a goal tomorrow.

"Versus Madrid we lost away without scoring and to Barça, to. Thus tomorrow we obviously want to score. As a side it’s important to keep on fighting and we can remember 2010, 2012 when we lost but in 2013 we won and these kind of situations bring the side together.

"We know the opponents will give it their all, but so will we."

Lahm thinks the game is a coin flip, ranking both teams' chances of progressing at 50-50.

"They’ve beaten the reigning holders. The possiblities are 50-50 and it depends on the day and how you play," he explained. "Sometimes you’re on it and sometimes not. It can depend on many things. I think all will be decided in the return leg; right now there’s no favourites."
