Matthaus on the row between Robben and Lewandowski
Former Germany international and coach Lothar Matthaus has spoken in his usual column in Sport Bild about the current Bayern Munich side and has commented upon the bad relationship between some players in the squad, something he considers a serious problem.
Matthaus says the lack of harmony between the two stars of the team, Polish forward Robert Lewandowski and Dutch winger Arjen Robben, is the latest rift.
"Lewandowski keeps feeding the debate about the selfish attitude of Robben on the pitch, day to day, and this has affected the players' confidence. It's very clear that something is wrong between the two players," said Matthaus.
"These situations create a lot of bad blood in the squad. Lewandowski and Robben should fix the situation because if they don't I'm convinced that it would create a source of instability in the team's attack."
