Marco Reus: If he doesn't stay at Borussia Dortmund, Barça is first option

Marco Reus' future is in the air. The pearl of Borussia Dortmund has a contract until 2017 but he has a clause that would allow him to leave for just €25million, which is a bargain considering his performances.

According to 'BILD', the destination of Reus will depend on whether the player makes the decision based on his heart or his head; for prestige or for money.

The German newspaper says "his heart is in Dortmund". Reus hasn't forgot that he has grown as a player there and he has a great relationship with the fans.

However, Marco Reus has a weakness and that is Barcelona. 'BILD' suggest the forward has dreamed of dressing in azulgrana since he was little. On top of that, at Barça he would find his friend, Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The pair have a really good relationship.

Therefore, Barça would be the player's first option should he decide to abandon Dortmund.

But "the head says Bayern". Reus knows that in Josep Guardiola's side he could shine even more without having to leave Germany. Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze have already followed this path and would like Reus to join them.

Elsewhere, if it is money he wants, Reus could go Manchester City, who would be prepared to offer a contract which other teams could not match.

All of Europe is waiting on Reus' decision, but it seems that if he does decide to leave Dortmund, Barça will be his first option. That, of course, depends on when Barça can sign players again...
