The player wanted to move closer to his family for personal reasons

Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has joined Entracht Frankfurt after leaving Las Palmas for personal reasons. He has signed a three year deal with the Bundsliga club.

The 30-year-old revived his career on the Canary Islands and was sad to have to leave. "We know the strength of Kevin in the middle of the pitch and we are sure that he will have an important role in our team," said the club's sporting director Fredi Bobic.

"Kevin is a winner with indomitable will. The young players will benefit especially from his actions and experience."

Boateng has scored 57 goals in 377 career games, previously playing for Tottenham, AC Milan and Schalke among other teams.
