Borussia Dortmund keen on Arda Turan to replace Mkhitaryan

Borussia Dortmund are continuing to play a big role in the transfer market.

The German club are one of the sides to have made the most signings - and sold the most players - so far, and could now be about to turn their attention to Arda Turan as they look to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is leaving for Manchester United.

According to reports in German and Turkey, Thomas Tuchel's side see the Barcelona midfielder as the ideal option to elevate the squad's quality after the signings of Ousmane Dembele, Raphael Guerreiro and Marc Bartra, among others.

The fact that Arda Turan played a backup role after making his Barça debut in January makes Dortmund believe a deal could be possible. In fact, the reports say that the Catalan club would consider selling for the right price.

Arda's good relationship with Turkey team-mate Nuri Sahin, who plays for Dortmund, could help to convince him to leave Camp Nou, despite only signing last summer.

However, it's important to remember that Arda's agent said just a few weeks ago that the player is only thinking about being a success at Barça. The former Atletico man is aware his first season wasn't the best, but he knows the importance of doing a full pre-season this time around.
