Ancelotti wants Benzema and James Rodriguez at Bayern

Carlo Ancelotti, who from July 1 will take over from Pep Guardiola as Bayern Munich coach, wants to go fishing in Real Madrid waters.

The Italian coach is trying to cast his net for James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema, asking Karl Heinz Rummenige to start work on the deals to bring them in for next games.

Ancelotti, who doesn't want to enter into a battle with Florentino Perez, knows the Colombian is not comfortable with Real Madrid and the club with him. Madrid aren't happy about his love of the city's nightlife, his demand for a higher salary, his return to Colombia to play games while not recovered from injury, and the recent speeding incident. His performances haven't been good either. The potential arrival of Eden Hazard frees up more space too.

The Italian coach remembers James played well under his commande, scoring 17 goals in his firt season in la Liga. James's minimum release fee clause is 80m euros but Madrid would negotiate a lower number.

With Robert Lewandowski set to sign for Real Madrid, Ancelotti might move for Benzema too, who performed very well under him. Florentino Perez, who likes Benzema, wouldn't block a move, because of the various non-sporting incidents that have hurt the image of Real Madrid. These include the Mathieu Valbuena blackmail court case.
