The Colombian defender is back in his homeland with his national team

Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, accompanied by Juventus' Juan Cuadrado, was the last to join up with the Colombia squad as they prepare for the World Cup this summer.

Mina, who's not played many minutes for Barça, where he's won two trophies, was hopeful about what's to come upon his arrival in Bogota.

'I arrive motivated and grateful to God for this opportunity, for this amazing challenge we have ahead of us," he said in reference to this summer's tournament in Russia.

"We have to approach it calmly and responsibly. Little by little, with hard work, we can achieve what we want to achieve -- we have to be humble."

Colombia are in Group H with Japan, Poland and Senegal at the finals and Mina is hoping to be a starter in Jose Perkeman's team when proceedings kick off.

He added: "Every one of us is fighting to win their place and you have to fight to earn it."
