Xavi: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Periscope... is not football
Xavi Hernandez, former Barcelona captain and current Al-Sadd midfielder, spoke to Jorge Valdano for BeIn Sports in which one of the topics was social networks.
"Twitter, Facebook, Periscope, Instagram... this is not football," explained the central midfielder from Terrassa to Valdano, in a message that could see Gerard Pique as its recipient, who loves social media.
Xavi also doesn't like Diego Simeone's football with Atletico Madrid. "I don't enjoy seeing people who shut down. In the World Cup we won games 0-1, 1-0, 0-1, but we played good football. Simeone's big merit is counteracting the qualities of the opposition perfectly."
Xavi also as a fan of Barcelona "I wouldn't understand any other type of play" than dominating the game and having several chances. "It's not negotiable," he said.
