Xavi: "Those whistling Pique? They must be Real Madrid fans"

Xavi Hernandez is no longer officially a Barcelona player and hasn't been for a few hours, but that doesn't stop him from remaining up to date on hot Blaugrana topics.

Xavi commented on the incident in which Pique was subject to whistles during La Roja's training session: "Well, I imagine they have to be [Real Madrid fans], because there are more Barça fans than those of Real Madrid. It isn't important. It was only a joke and I imagine that we will suffer something similar when Real Madrid win a title."

He also spoke of the news broken by SPORT that his big target is to bring Espanyol forward Sergio Garcia to the Qatari club: "If it was up to me he would already be here, but it is not only my decision, others are involved. What is obvious is that I like him and I would like to have him as a teammate."

His final confession was that "I will miss Barcelona more than they will miss my absence."
