Why Tello and Montoya are back in Barça training

Cristian Tello and Martin Montoya have surprisingly returned to the Ciutat Esportiva for Barça's pre-season training, but both are still expected to make moves away from Catalonia this summer.

The players were greeted with open arms by their team-mates and when asked why they had come back, the pair stressed that the club are preventing them from leaving the Camp Nou even though each already have several offers on the table. Another reason involves their salary demands, which have so far not been met by any of their potential suitors.

Tello is wanted by Fiorentina - where he spent last season on loan - but the Viola are unwilling to spend the eight million euros asking price for the 24-year-old. The forward has been left with nothing to do since the Serie A season ended on May 15 and decided to look for a personal trainer to keep him busy in Sabadell during the past two months.

His agent, however, recommended that he return for Barça's pre-season preparations as he has a right to be there as a Blaugrana player.

Montoya, meanwhile, has many aspects similar to Tello's situation and the right-back currently has a tempting offer from Valencia.
