Which clubs will benefit from Andre Gomes' signing?

Barcelona's latest summer acquisition of Andre Gomes will have a financial impact on more than his former club Valencia.

The Euro 2016 winner's move from Los Che to the Camp Nou for 35 million euros - plus another 20 in variables - is set to benefit Benfica, namely, who the 22-year-old represented for four years.

Before he went on to join Valencia in 2015, the Eagles inserted a clause in Gomes' deal that allowed the Portuguese club a share of the transfer fee if the player ever moved on from the Estadio de Mestalla.

After two seasons and having played 78 games, Gomes' transfer to Barça will see Benfica receive 25 per cent of the fee - five million euros to be exact.

Porto, Boavista and Pasteleira are all also entitled to financial compensation after helping with the player's development.
