Paulinho, the new FC Barcelona signing, is a 28-year-old midfielder, a key player for the Brazilian national team under Tite and at Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League.
He is a pivot who Barça were previously looking at in 2013, but in the end he signed for Tottenham for €20 million. He then signed for Felipe Scolari’s Guangzhou Evergrande in China for €14 million where he became a key player.
He won the Copa Libertadores and World Club Cup in 2012 with Corinthians before moving abroad. At Guangzhou he has won 2 leagues, 1 cup and 1 Asian Champions League. He played against Barça in the 2015 World Club Cup.
