What will be different about Barcelona's shirt in the Catalan derby?

There will be a subtle change to the side's shirt for their match against Espanyol

FC Barcelona will step out on the Camp Nou pitch on Sunday with a slight change to the shirt they've been wearing until now. The team will not have the gold world champion badge on their shirt because hours before the Club World Cup final between Real Madrid and Kashima Antlers will be played in Yokohama. Therefore, FIFA will have crowned a new world champion, who will have the badge of honour on their shirts.

Barça's kitmen have the shirts ready without the badge for the game against Espanyol. Barça earned the honour at the end of 2016 courtesy of their win against River Plate in the final in Japan. That time, it was Madrid who gave up the badge for the game which they competed in hour later against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid and Kashima's game kicks off at 11.30 CET, while Barcelona host Espanyol at 20.45 CET. Los Blancos have parked their league game against Valencia to take part in the tournament, so Barça have the chance to move within three points of Zinedine Zidane's side if they can win the Catalan derby this weekend.
