What is going on with Adriano Correia's transfer?

Adriano Correia, FC Barcelona's Brazilian defender, has been in Istanbul since last Sunday.

His objective was to pass the medical tests and to be presented officially as a Besiktas player.

However, the hours and days pass by, and Adriano remains a Barça player, despite having undergone his medical and being acclaimed by the Turkish fans.

Though we know the economic details of the deal, and the wage that the full-back will receive over the three years of his contract, the official confirmation of the transfer has still not arrived.

Despite Adriano having put on the Turkish club's shirt, and stating "I am part of the Besiktas family", neither the Istanbul club nor FC Barcelona have released any further statement to rubber-stamp the deal.

The player has been in Turkey for four days now, and we continue to await the 'white smoke'.
