Victor Valdes could be set for Pep Guardiola reunion at Bayern Munich

Victor Valdes could end up playing for Bayern Munich.

Pep Guardiola has announced the team want a goalkeeper to put pressure on Manuel Neuer and the former Blaugrana star would be the perfect solution for the Bavarians.

Valdes is currently recovering alone from his serious knee injury, which saw him fail Monaco's medical

The goalkeeper is convinced he will play at the same level as he did before he sustained the injury, is waiting for his agent to find him a club after he decided not to renew his contract with Barcelona.

Guardiola knows Valdes well and believes he would be a good substitute at Bayern, but doesn't know if the goalkeeper would accept that situation, and also be prepared to accept a contract smaller than the Monaco offer

In the coming weeks there may be a surprising outcome to the Valdes case.

His friend Andres Iniesta said: "Victor says everything is fine, that is his knee is recovering, which is the most important."
