L'Equipe says the midfielder will do what he can to get Barça move

PSG don't want to sell but Verratti hopes to persuade them otherwise

Barcelona target Marco Verratti does not plan on turning up for pre-season training with Paris Saint-Germain when they return to work in July in a bid to force a move to the Catalan club, according to L'Equipe.

Verratti is clear that he wants to leave PSG this summer and sign for Barça, an objective which he has now taken on as a personal challenge. To achieve his goal, he's ready to take any step necessary, and is even thinking of the possibility of not turning up for the first day of pre-season under Unai Emery on July 4.

The player will put pressure on the PSG owners to sell. As they have made it clear they don't want to sell, it may be the only way he can get his move to Camp Nou. He has sent subliminal messages in the last few days but is prepared to go further than that.

In the coming days, the player and his agent will study what is the best strategy to force the move through. Verratti is currently on holiday but his mind is fixed on negotiating a move and he's aware that for the 'soap opera' to have a happy ending, he will have to play his part.
