Vermaelen: Good atmosphere in the dressing room key to Barça success
Thomas Vermaelen has hailed the atmosphere among the Barcelona players after huge wins against Real Madrid and Roma.
Barça came under question earlier this season when they lost to Sevilla and Celta Vigo, but they've responded impressively.
Vermaelen, who started the win against Roma earlier this week, puts it down to the bond among the squad.
"Clearly the results help, but there’s a really good atmosphere in the dressing room," he told Barcelona's official website.
"We always stick together as a team and that will be important for our most difficult times.
"It was important to do well for our fans [against Roma] and six goals give us confidence.
"As for the Clasico, I experienced it as a substitute, but the atmosphere was amazing.
"It will be talked about for many years to come, and I think it’ll go down in history."
The Belgian international missed last season through injury - only featuring in the final league game of the season.
However, he's played more regularly this season and feels good.
"I’m fine now," he added. "I feel great and everything’s going very well, both individually and collectively."
